This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. ScrollFit helps you earn mindful scrolling time by rewarding movement, logging progress, and guiding you toward healthier digital habits. Please read this policy carefully; if you don't agree with the terms described here, this service may not be recommended for you.

1.1 Personal Information
ScrollFit can be used anonymously, but if you sign in with a Firebase-backed account (e.g., Google or Apple), we collect the following personal information:
- Name: Display name provided by the authentication provider
- Email Address: Account email used for authentication
- Authentication Details: Unique Account ID, provider, and login timestamps
- Subscription Status: ScrollFit Pro Payment and entitlement history managed through RevenueCat (monthly, yearly, lifetime)
- Profile Preferences: Leaderboard alias, notification choices, and any preferences you explicitly save
We store this data to deliver account-based features, manage subscriptions, sync progress across devices, and send service-related communications.
1.2 App Activity and Device Data
Whether you sign in or use ScrollFit anonymously, we automatically collect device and usage information to keep the experience stable and responsive:
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, screen resolution, Firebase Installation ID, and unique identifiers needed for security and diagnostics.
- Usage Analytics: Anonymous session information, feature interactions, earned time logs, onboarding progress, survey answers, and leaderboard activity to help us improve the app.
- Performance & Diagnostics: Crash reports, performance traces, and Firebase Remote Config fetch results to measure and stabilize app behavior.
- Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens to deliver optional push reminders and updates; tokens are rotated and stored securely.
This data is collected through Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Messaging) and internal instrumentation.
1.3 Reward History and Exercise Tracking
ScrollFit keeps a record of your earned screen time, completed challenges, and any voluntary activity logs so we can display progress, unlock goals, and personalize recommendations.
Records for anonymous users stay on your device. Registered users may have this data synchronized via Firebase-backed storage to enable multi-device continuity.
We use the information we collect in the following ways:
- To Provide and Maintain Our Service: Deliver onboarding, game-like experiences, rewards, and notifications within ScrollFit.
- To Improve the Experience: Analyze usage data, survey responses, and crash reports to enhance features and performance.
- To Communicate with You: Send account notices, subscription receipts, security alerts, and optional wellbeing reminders.
- To Process Purchases: Manage ScrollFit Pro subscriptions through RevenueCat, Google Play Billing, or the Apple App Store.
- To Enforce Our Policies and Terms: Protect the integrity of the service and prevent fraud or abuse.
2a. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal information based on the following legal grounds:
- Contract Performance: Processing necessary to deliver ScrollFit, fulfill subscriptions, and honor account terms.
- Legitimate Interests: Improving the app, securing the platform, preventing abuse, and tailoring wellbeing insights.
- Legal Compliance: Processing required to comply with laws or respond to lawful requests.
- Consent: Where required by law, we process your data based on the choices and consents you provide within the app.
2b. International Data Transfers
We may transfer your information to countries outside your residence for processing and storage. When we do so, we rely on standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful safeguards to protect your data.
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We may share it with the following parties:
- Service Providers: Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Messaging, Storage), RevenueCat, payment processors (Google Play Billing, Apple App Store), and email service vendors, all bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
- For Legal Reasons: When required by law, regulators, or valid legal requests such as subpoenas or court orders.
- Business Transfers: In the case of mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before any such transfer.
We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute safety.
4a. Data Retention
We retain information for the following periods:
- Account Information:
- Active accounts: Retained while the account is active.
- Inactive accounts: Data deleted after 24 months of inactivity.
- Deletion requests: Fulfilled within 45 days of a verified request.
- Earned Time & Exercise History:
- Retained for 12 months to preserve progress and rewards.
- Removed upon account deletion or specific user request.
- Analytics and Diagnostics:
- Stored in anonymized form for up to 26 months.
- Raw crash and performance traces deleted after 14 months.
- Communications:
- Support emails and correspondence: Retained for 24 months.
- Transaction records: Kept as required by law (typically 7 years).
4b. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
ScrollFit uses cookies and similar technologies where applicable:
- Essential Cookies: Authentication tokens, security cookies, and session management needed for the app to function.
- Analytics Cookies: Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring help us understand usage patterns and fix issues.
- Preference Cookies: Remind the app of settings such as notification permissions or display preferences.
You may manage cookies through your device settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit app functionality.
5. Your Data Protection Rights

- Right to Delete: Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

You may appeal our response by emailing the same address with the subject line "VCDPA Appeal." We will reply within 60 days.
6. Opting Out of Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, but you can request tighter controls:
- Essential Providers: Necessary sharing with Firebase, RevenueCat, and payment processors cannot be opted out of while using ScrollFit.
- Optional Sharing: Email appsupport@texense.io with the subject line "Data Sharing Opt-Out," include your account email, and specify the sharing you want to limit. We will respond within 45 days.
- Complete Opt-Out: Delete your account to remove personal data from our systems.
7. Third-Party Services
ScrollFit relies on third-party platforms:
- Firebase: Provides Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging, and optional Storage. For details see https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
- RevenueCat: Manages ScrollFit Pro subscriptions. See https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy for their practices.
- App Store & Play Store Billing: Google Play Billing and Apple App Store handle payments and receipts. Their policies apply when you purchase a subscription.
8. Children's Privacy
ScrollFit is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
